Jody is a freelance performer and performing arts tutor with extensive experience in both stage and screen, specialising in musical theatre. She completed over 15 years of private vocal training and holds a tertiary qualification in Performing Arts.
Jody spent four years teaching music, drama, and arts in London at an exclusive preschool facility, where she also began her family. After returning to New Zealand, she owned and directed the Wellington Music Academy, which she operated for 13 years.
Her performance credits include major lead roles in Mamma Mia! (2014 & 2025) with the Capital Theatre Trust - St James Theatre, Amélie - WITCH Music Theatre (2025) Hannah Playhouse, and numerous other Theatre productions including Les Misérables, Cats, Annie, 42nd Street, and The Addams Family, Songs for a New World, Music Hall. She has appeared on television programmes such as Good Morning and Telethon 2009, and has performed as a vocalist with the Royal NZ Ballet in the charity event Breathe. In 2010 Jody Produced the musical “Cabaret” in benefit of the Lifeflight Trust and also starred as the iconic leading lady “Sally Bowles” Jody recently starred at BATS theatre, as part of the NZ 2026 fringe festival.
Jody continues her work as an actor, a passionate music and drama tutor and is also a highly sought-after wedding celebrant.
